St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of animals, said: “Not to hurt our humble brethren is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission -- to be of service to them wherever they require it.” So Francis prayed that God would work through him to help animals as well as people.

The picture above is one of my cats, Tarot, the first time she assisted in a Reiki session for a client. I call the picture "My Reiki assistant, deep in meditation". Tarot often assists during sessions in my home, and when I am doing distance sessions for others; and, of course, she loves the energy for herself!
